The Ambulatory Laser and Surgery Center was designed by Dr. Colon exclusively for the lower extremity. It is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Podiatric Surgical Facilities, and licensed by the State of Georgia, and approved by Medicare. A Board Certified Anesthesiologist is present to administer anesthesia during surgery, and a Registered Nurse provides nursing assistance to the surgical team before, during, and after surgery. Accreditation and licensure assure patients that the facility meets rigid clinical requirements. If there is a need for hospitalization, the doctors perform the procedure in a hospital near the Surgery Center.
