The goal of our Aquatic Physical Therapists is to return their patients to their prior level of activities as quickly and safely as possible. Together, our aquatic program and our staff of professional aquatic physical therapists with their diverse knowledge and expertise, provide an optimal environment for rehabilitation, pain management and maximized independence.

 

Sandra Johanson, P.T. Physical Therapist, Co-Founder Co-Owner and Director of Rehabilitation • Graduated from Florida International University 1990 • 11 Years of Experience as a Physical Therapist Included the Position of Supervisor in large Outpatient Clinic. • Postgraduate Training Includes Extensive Courses in Aquatic Therapy, Including Treatment Techniques for Pediatric, Orthopedic, and Neurological Patients • Post Graduate Training in Acute and Chronic Spinal Dysfunctions. • Member of the Aquatics Section of the American Physical Therapy Association

Michelle Ferry, Cofounder CO-Owner and Administrator • Certified Aquatic Fitness Instructor • Massage Therapist • Specializing in Aquatic Techniques: Bad Ragaz, Ai Chi, Watsu, Lumbar Stabilization • Training in Treatment for: Spinal Disorders, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome • 11 Years of Experience in the Physical Therapy Field. • Member of the United States Water Fitness Association

Kristin Miller, P.T. Physical Therapist • Graduated from University of Florida 1987 • Post Graduate training in the Areas of Orthopedics and Aquatic Physical Therapy Including Spinal Rehab and Cardiac Rehab • 10 years in Managerial Positions as Rehab Coordinator, Acute/Outpatient Hospital-Based PT Department • Instructor in Many Community-Based Patient Education Programs • Former Lecturer at Lynn University's Physical Therapy Program

Caryn Redelheim, M.P.T. Physical Therapist • Graduated form Nova Southeastern University with a Masters Degree • Graduated from Auburn University with a Degree in Health Promotion • Member of American Physical Therapy Association • Post Graduate Training in Aquatic Rehabilitation • Coursework on Lumbar Spine and SI Joint

Sharon Opkins, P.T.A. Physical Therapist Assistant • Graduate of Broward Community College • Experienced in Acute and Subacute Care, Geriatrics,   Home Health, and Sports Medicine • Course Work in Reflexology Muscle Energy Techniques • Member of the American Physical Therapy Association • 10 Year Licensed Massage Therapist • Member of YMCA Master's Swim Team. U.S. Master's Swimming Association and U.S.A. Triathlon Federation • As a competitive athlete, her diverse background allows her to work with a wide range of patients and diagnoses.
