No arrest can be made by an officer unless he witnesses a crime to charge you with.
Neither you, your home or your car may be searched without your permission, as a general rule.
Upon being arrested you must be read and/or explained your legal rights. (You have the right to speak with an attorney.) (Your Miranda Rights must be read to you only prior to an interrogation.)
You have the right to have any charge explained to you at the time of the questioning and/or arrest.
A search warrant must be obtained prior to searching the property in your control.
If any property is taken from you or from your property, you must be given a receipt and the property must be properly stored and secured from damage or theft.
You are entitled to call friends and family immediately after being arrested.
You have the right to call an attorney or doctor if needed immediately after being arrested.
You have the right not to speak with or to a policeman prior to having your attorney present.
You have the right to be released on a reasonable bond.
You have the right to be brought before a judge within a reasonable time after arrest.
You have the right to confront witnesses against you.
You have the right to an attorney at every stage of your case.
