Body Liposculpture
Liposuction surgery was perfected by a French physician. The procedure
allows men and women to improve the contours of their bodies through
this relatively simple and safe technique. Liposuction surgery involves
the removal of fat cells from the body, and may be used alone, or
in conjunction with other procedures, such as facelift or a "tummy
tuck." It is designed for those who have specific areas of
localized fat deposits who have tried unsuccessfully to eliminate
them through diet, exercise, and weight loss.
Before / After
Chin
Augmentation
Chin augmentation, or mentoplasty, is a surgical procedure that
has helped thousands of people improve their appearance by altering
the contours of their faces. It is designed to add size to, or move
forward, a receding chin. In some cases, a chin augmentation is
done in conjunction with liposuction surgery, or other cosmetic
facial procedures such as rhinoplasty (surgery of the nose) and
rhytidectomy (facelift).
The best candidate for chin augmentation is the individual with
a receding chin, and a normal dental bite. For those with a bite
dysfunction, jaw surgery, in conjunction with mentoplasty, may be necessary.
Before / After
Forehead
and Brow Lift
Brow and forehead lifts are designed to raise eyebrows, and reduce
ridges and furrows on the forehead, thus creating a smoother, more
youthful appearance. As with blepharoplasty, this procedure is frequently
done in conjunction with other surgeries.
Cheek Implant
Today, because of modern technology, there is a remarkable procedure,
malar augmentation or cheek implant, that can give women the high
cheekbones they desire. This surgery, although not designed for
everyone, can give definition to a face that has a flat contour
because of underdeveloped cheekbones. The best candidate for malar
augmentation is the individual with a long, narrow face, or one
with a very round face and flat cheeks. It can also benefit people
with asymmetries or congenital defects. This surgery can be performed
in conjunction with other facial surgeries, such as blepharoplasty
(surgery of the eyes) or rhytidectomy (facelift).
Tummy Tuck
Abdominoplasty is not a substitute for weight loss. The objective
of the surgery is to improve the contour of the body by flattening
and narrowing the abdomen. The best candidate for the surgery is
the individual who is of normal weight, but who has weak abdominal
muscles and excess skin and fat. Age, obesity, and smoking habits
are some of the factors the physician considers when evaluating
a candidate for this procedure.
Rhinoplasty (Cosmetic Surgery of the Nose)
Typical reasons for this surgery are to improve the angle, reduce
the size of the nose, or remove a bump. These conditions may be
the result of natural causes, or external trauma to the face. Both
profile and frontal face views can be altered through rhinoplasty.
The surgery can be performed in conjunction with procedures designed
to relieve nasal obstructions. However, it is not usually performed
until a person has reached the mid-teen years when growth is nearly
complete.
Breast Lifts
For many women, the size, shape, and contour of their breasts are
of particular importance. Today, women who are disturbed by sagging
or loose breasts as a result of pregnancy, weight loss, or natural
aging can be helped by a remarkable surgical technique called breast
lift or mastopexy. This procedure is designed to elevate and reshape
the breast.
