Coordination of Benefits:

If you or your family members are covered by more than one health care plan, you may not be able to collect benefits from both plans. Each plan may require you to follow its rules or use specific dentists, and it may be impossible to comply with both plans at the same time. Before you enroll in this plan, read all of the rules very carefully and compare them with the rules of any other plan that covers you and your family.

Dental Savings:

When you see your participating dentist, you'll receive no charge services on:
• X-Rays
• Routine Cleanings
• Topical Fluoride
• Oral Exams
• Local Anesthesia

All other dental procedures are covered at substantial savings to you. The Schedule of Benefits shows you the exact amount you pay.

No Hidden Costs:

With CompDent, you won't be surprised by any hidden costs. There aren't any. Your dental needs are covered right from the start. And most pre-existing conditions you may have are covered immediately.

Large, Established Dental Network:

You choose your family general dentist from the dental directory list. Participating dentists are located near your home or office.

What if I Need a Specialist?

When treatment by a specialist is required and you visit a CompDent participating specialist, you will receive benefits as shown on your Schedule of Benefits. We make every effort to insure a complete range of specialty care in each geographic area. However, it is not always possible to secure some specialty types in some areas. Please check with our Member Services Department to verify that a particular specialty is available.

How Many Times a Year Can I Visit My Dentist?

You are encouraged to visit your dentist regularly. With your CompDent dental plan, you are not limited to a specific number of visits per year.

Can I Change Participating Dentists?

Yes. You can easily change dental office by contacting CompDent. A simple phone call is all it takes.

How Do I Make Appointments?

Making an appointment is easy. Simply call the dental office you have selected, on or after the date you receive your certificate of coverage, and your appointment will be scheduled. Your enrollment with that dental office will already be on hand, confirming that you are eligible for treatment.

Is There a Maximum Coverage Limitation?

There are no maximum limitations on benefits.

How Do I Pay for Services?

If your visit is for covered preventive care, like a routine exam, cleaning, or x-ray, there is no charge for the procedure; the dentist is prepaid by the CompDent program. For other procedures, a co-payment may be required. See your Schedule of Benefits for amounts. You pay this directly to the dentist.

For a list of providers in your area, please visit www.compdent.com for more information.

Free with your dental plan:  vision, pharmacy, and hearing discounts at no additional charge.
