ABOUT THE DOCTOR
Dr. Tomeski was born in the Philippines and is a naturalized
citizen of the U.S.A. She has been a practicing physician for about 20
years. Dr. Tomeski, Board Certified by the American Board of lnternal
Medicine, has been practicing in Palm Beach County since 1979, and has
medical licenses to practice in Oregon, Tennessee, and Florida.
She has served as a medical director for the Hospice of Boca Raton.
Prior to starting medical practice in the U.S., Dr. Tomeski was a religious
sister, serving as a physician with the Franciscan Missionary Sisters.
This service included medical physician in charge of a hospital, during
a rampant cholera epidemic, in Kenya, Africa.
The doctor received her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas
in Manila. Her internship was in Elizabeth General Hospital, New
Jersey. She had fellowships at Albany, New York Veterans Administration
Hospital and East Orange New Jersey Veterans Administration Hospital.
She is active in the American Medical Women's Association and American
Society of Internal Medicine. Dr. Tomeski has served as a member
of the board of directors of the Catholic Physicians Guild of the Palm
Beach Diocese. She is the author of several published articles on
medical topics.
Dr. Tomeski was married to the late Alex Tomeski (Ph.D) who was professor
of management at the Graduate School of Business, Barry University.
She has a young daughter, Aca, who attends Atlantic High School.
Her pastimes include music and photography. The Tomeskis are active
in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
