Bringing Light To Life…

As a full service custom design glass studio, Eichhorn Stained Glass has designed and fabricated numerous commissions for new installations as well as restorations of older windows. Although much of our work is in the more traditional leaded glass and etched glass, we have also completed many projects using lamination, casting and fusing. In addition to architectural work, we also fabricate various types of etched awards and signage, both freestanding and installed.

Over a number of years, Eichhorn Stained Glass has developed an ongoing working relationship with many talented local and international designers. We continue to collaborate with new designers as they seek ways to express their artistic vision in glass.

Four Decades of Glass
Peter K. Eichhorn began working in glass as an apprentice in art glass at Binsfield Art Glass Co. in Trier, Germany, then continued his studies at Kunsthochshule, also in Trier. In 1965 he immigrated to the United States to supervise an art glass studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1969 Peter and a partner opened Fenestra Studios in Louisville. After 17 years Peter left Fenestra and opened his own company. Since that time, Eichhorn Stained Glass has manufactured many new commissions and restored numerous existing windows, always looking for new and innovative ways of using glass to bring light to life.
