Our Philosophy

Adoption Placement, Inc. (API) is a licensed, not-for-profit adoption agency providing services to birth and adoptive parents in reference to the placement of children for adoption. The child placed in an adoptive home deserves to be treated with respect at all times. The child will be provided with a loving, safe and secure home environment and be given the opportunity to learn and develop into a responsible adult. Adoptive families shall parent their child in a positive manner and any discipline will be administered in such a way as to preserve the dignity and well-being of the child. The goal of API is to provide its services in such a manner that all questions will be answered. Further, concerns and anxieties will be relieved through application of the following policies:

1.Providing the assistance of competent trained professionals.
2.Treating all parties with dignity, courtesy, and respect.
3.Answering all questions dealing with the placement.
4.Providing the opportunity to make choices.
5.Being ever-mindful of minimizing financial loss.

Statement of Purpose

Adoptive Placement, Inc. provides a variety of services to assist families in the adoptive process. We provide all services in a non-judgmental fashion, totally free of prejudice or undue pressure. The purpose of API is to assist birth parents in selecting parents for their child. They are assisted in making their own decision. We want them to feel good about themselves and their choice. Birth Parents have made the choice to give the child life. We offer them the choice of placing their child with parents who can appreciate this gift of life. API assists adoptive parents to obtain the knowledge necessary to make an informed choice as to a given situation. The staff will provide the professional assistance necessary to perform the psychological and sociological evaluation to determine suitability for placement. Post-placement supervision shall also be provided. All decisions as to acceptance for placement will be made in a fair and non-judgmental fashion with the goal at all times being what is best for the child. However Adoption Placement, Inc. is mindful that Adoptive Parents, too, have chosen to place their future in our hands.
