What Is Accreditation?

Early childhood programs accredited by NAEYC's (National Academy of Early Childhood Programs) have voluntarily undergone a comprehensive process of internal self-study, invited external professional review to verify complianceAzalea Park Learning Center with the Criteria for High-Quality Early Childhood Programs and have been found to be in substantial compliance with the criteria. A copy of the criteria can be obtained from NAEYC.

What Is A High-Quality Early Childhood Program?

A high-quality early childhood program provides a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children. In accredited programs, you will see:

  • Frequent, positive, warm interactions among teachers and children.
  • Planned learning activities appropriate to children's age and development, such as block building, painting, reading stories, dress-up and active outdoor play.
  • Specially trained teachers and directors.
  • Ongoing professional development

Azalea Park Learning Center program is based on a High Scope curriculum which is also used by the Orange County Public School Systems. High Scope is based on children learning through active play.

Our classrooms are well equipped with age-appropriate materials astudent at desknd are divided between various Learning Centers, which are:

  • Housekeeping
  • Manipulative Toys
  • Science Table
  • Water Play
  • Easel Painting
  • Blocks
  • Library
  • Other Temporary Learning Centers

The teachers prepare weekly Lesson Plans based on age-appropriate lesson books with the purpose of developing the children's motor skills, language, arts, science experiences, music, etc.

Azalea Park Learning Center Offers the Following Services:

  • 4 Weeks - 12 years of age
  • To / From School Transportation
  • Hourly - Daily - Weekly
  • After-school Care
  • Great Summer Programs
